Academic system definition

 

Academic system is a set of rules and regulations at the university in general, which govern the process of education at the Deanship of the preparatory year at King Faisal University, and sets the admission criteria and conditions of registration procedures,, study system and estimates, , the criteria for success and failure rates for students enrolled in the preparatory year program.

 
the Deanship of the preparatory year at the University of King Faisal applies the credit hour system (Credit Hours) a system based on a student(s) acquire the number of credit hours each semester, for a total credit hours obtained at the end of semesters, shall be eligible him to move to the first year in college, which he joined principally.

 

Duration of the preparatory year program

The study is divided in the preparatory year into two semesters, through each chapter is studying coursework in English language skills and math skills and computer, in addition to other decisions, and include estimates are obtained by the student (s) in the courses of the preparatory year in their academic record, seasonally and cumulative specially in the preparatory Year, and can be accepted or transfer student (s) of any college, according to his/her cumulative average in the preparatory year and desire, in addition to the special requirements of colleges, in accordance with the following schedule:

     And a student(s) may be granted winning a lower estimate of the good (c) in the course of one or more of the decisions of the preparatory year program is just one chance to re-study the course, so as not to exceed the duration of the study program in three semesters maximum.
