About College
The rulers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have pledged, since the time of its establishment, to work for the welfare of Saudi citizens. They put great concerns on developing related education and health care, and the colleges of dentistry in particular. This resulted in the formation of a tri-committee including the Ministry of Planning, Ministry of Finance and National Economy, and the Ministry of Higher Education, with the proposal of the establishment of the College of Dentistry in Dammam in 1405H. The approval of the establishment of the College of Dentistry at King Faisal University was issued by the Royal Decree No. 26/7/1415H.
Since then the college proceeded with the preparation of several technical committees to establish the composition of the academic program for the Bachelor of Dentistry.
The college is taking active steps towards superiority and leadership on both regional and international levels, and in this context the college plans for both short and long term access to international academic accreditation. In 1423H (2003G) the college accepted 29 students as the first group of registered students.
