About the college

With the beginning of the new Hijri century (1400 AH), and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia beginning to enter a new phase of academic development, and based on awareness of the importance of specialization at the level of higher education, including specialization in the fields of law and law, and after the success of the experiments of scientific departments in this field within some colleges, King Faisal University issued directives regarding the issuance of a decision of the Higher Education Council in its sixty-second session, crowned by Royal Approval No. (62/18) dated 12/29/1431 AH, to establish a college. Rights.

Since its inception, the young college has undertaken the responsibility of building, continuously striving for development, and committing to providing distinguished university legal education. In order to be a legal radiation center that contributes to attracting highly qualified faculty members, and provides the legal labor market in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in general, and the Eastern Province (Al-Ahsa Governorate) in particular, with distinguished legal competencies with diverse and ready skills, capable of filling multiple and documented tasks related to specialization in the field of law, and meeting the needs of governmental and private institutions, through the research qualifications it possesses and scientific production, and its willingness to serve society in order to spread a culture of justice that is based on principles Islamic law. These goals were sought by the College of Law and are still being sought, through an integrated study plan calculated within the vision, mission and values ​​of the university, in order to ensure quality and excellence in science, education and community partnership.

Thank God, the first batch of students graduated from the College of Law in the second semester of the academic year 1437/1438 AH. This scientific output was achieved thanks to the efforts of various employees within the college, including faculty members, administrative staff, and technicians.

As a result of subsequent developments and changes in the field of higher education and in response to the university’s vision and mission (2021-2024 AD) and the Kingdom’s vision 2030 AD, the college seeks to excel scientifically and researchally and in effective community partnership, and to draw up a strategic plan that achieves its goals and keeps pace with its future vision.
