Student Activities

The Student Activities Committee at the College of Computer Sciences and Information Technology strives to achieve a positive impact on students and develop their personal and social skills and values[cite: 10]. Objectives

  • Organizing and implementing diverse student events including scientific, athletic, cultural, and recreational aspects[cite: 10].
  • Encouraging and supporting student initiatives and providing the necessary support for their execution[cite: 10].
  • Preparing students to transition from the educational environment to the workplace[cite: 10].

The Student Advisory Council is one of the student empowerment channels through which the university seeks to hone students' administrative skills, enhance leadership spirit, and nourish skill sets related to teamwork with defined goals, plans, organizational rules, and periodic reports[cite: 10]. Furthermore, the council is considered one of the most vital direct communication channels between the university's senior leadership and the students[cite: 10].

Artificial Intelligence Club

A student club that aims to build a student community and an interactive environment encouraging innovation and collaboration among members from various technical specializations, working to enhance student skills in artificial intelligence and programming by encouraging continuous learning[cite: 10].

Cybersecurity Club

A student club that seeks to promote awareness and understanding in the field of cybersecurity among students and members of the academic community[cite: 10]. The club operates under the CyberHub platform, supervised by the Ministry of Education in partnership with the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones[cite: 10].

Peer Learning Club

A student club aiming to enhance the exchange of technical and practical knowledge and skills among students[cite: 10]. The club focuses on developing practical and creative skills, extending the impact of peer learning beyond the academic realm to prepare students to efficiently navigate professional and social life challenges[cite: 10].

Future Technologies Club

A student club dedicated to continuously spreading knowledge in emerging technology fields, aiming to enhance community awareness of emerging technologies and leverage the latest innovations in fields such as drones and the Internet of Things (IoT), preparing a generation of experts capable of facing digital era challenges and shaping the future of technology[cite: 10].
