قسم الممارسة الصيدلة في جامعة الملك فيصل هو القسم الأساسي الذي يقوم عليه برنامج دكتور صيدلي ( Pharm.D. program ) في كلية الصيدلة الإكلينيكية. ويقوم القسم بتهيأة المناخ المناسب لممارسة التدريب الإكلينيكي خلال مسيرة الطالب الأكاديميه وكذلك في سنة الإمتياز. حتى يكون الخريج عضواً فعالاً في الرعاية الصحية المقدمة للمرضى باعتباره أحد أهم أعضاء الفريق الطبي والذي يتمتع بمحصول علمي وافر وخبرة عملية فيما يتعلق بالأدوية واستخداماتها الصحيحة . وكذلك في وضع الخطة العلاجية المناسبة لكل مريض.
ويتحقق ذلك من خلال تطبيق برنامج أكاديمي منظم ومميز في التعليم مع التركيز بوجه خاص على التدريب الإكلينيكي في المجالات التالية: معلومات الأدوية ، التدريب المؤسسي في الممارسة الصيدلية، الطب الباطني ، العناية المركزة، طب الطوارئ، أمراض القلب، البحوث العلمية ونتائجها، الأمراض المعدية، حركية / فعالية الدواء ، الإسعاف الأولي في حالات الطوارئ , التدريب في الصيدليات العامة.وتشكل معرفة وخبرة أعضاء هيأة التدريس بالقسم وكذلك البيئة العلميه المحيطه بالطالب والوسائل المساعدة المقدمة من الكلية , عاملاً مهماُ في تمكين الطالب من الحصول على الفائدة العلمية الوافرة والتي تمكنه من ممارسة عمله مستقبلاً بشكل علمي , صحيح وفعال .
