Vice-presidency for Development and Community Service
The ultimate objective of the Vice-Presidency for Studies, Development and Community Service is to provide ways for continuous development of the university employees, through activities and plans, including the training all university employees and improving their skills and performance, as well as introducing development mechanisms and initiatives, and work to provide the requirements for effective implementation
Vice-presidency for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research
The Vice-Presidency for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research is one of the main tributaries of the administration, which is concerned with planning and following up on all activities of the university that relate to the postgraduate studies and scientific research to achieve the vision and mission of the university. Three groups of units are under the Vice-presidency structure: Deanships, Research Centers, and Supporting Units
Female Student Affairs
The Vice-Presidency for Female-Student Affairs seeks to achieve the vision and mission of the university through its approved roles that focus on studying visions and developing proposals for the educational and research affairs, developing community partnership, public services, media, public relations, security and safety, and developing the female skills and performance at the female section
Administration of Financial Planning and Budget
The administration of Planning and Budget is one of the important departments in the university. It concerns everything related to the planning process and its follow-up, the preparation of annual reports, the preparation of the university’s draft budget and the disbursement plan, and the implementation of financial commitments. It also carries out all the work assigned by the Higher Administration of the university
Secretariat of the University Council
It is an executive administration that supervises the administrative and organizational activities of the University Council and the related facilities and support in light of the relevant regulations and instructions issued by the higher administration of the university
Innovation & Business Development Sector
The Innovation and Business Development Sector accelerate the future of King Faisal University through the establishment and maturation of its innovation and business development to achieve financial sustainability for the university, diversify sources of income, invest in knowledge, research, and technology, and maximize the value of its assets and capabilities
Administration of Strategic Planning and Institutional Identity
The Department of Strategic Planning and Institutional Identity was established with its current name after launching the institutional identity of the university, which is represented in food security and environmental sustainability

Preparatory Year
The objectives of the Deanship of Preparatory Year are to improve the academic quality of students entering colleges, develop qualified and future-oriented educational pathways and programs, encourage students to actively participate in activities and community partnership programs, and provide high-quality resources, facilities, and modern technological tools to create an outstanding educational environment.
Scientific Council
The university's Scientific Council is the body responsible for overseeing the academic affairs of faculty members, as well as research, studies, and publications.
General Administration of Financial and Administrative Affairs
This administration is responsible for implementing the university’s approved budget in accordance with recognized accounting standards and principles and the instructions issued by the Ministry of Finance. It also prepares the university’s financial statements, budgets, and final accounts at the end of each fiscal year for inclusion in the State Budget.
General Administration of Human Resources
Based on the university’s keenness to serve its members on all academic, administrative and social levels, the university established the Deanship of Faculty Affairs on 6/21/1418 AH to carry out many services, procedures and financial and administrative transactions related to the university’s members.
General Administration of Libraries
The library has been present since the very beginning of the establishment of King Faisal University in 1395/1396 AH. The library provides various knowledge resources to all members of the university community (male and female students), faculty members, laboratory technicians, and university administrators. It also contributes to serving the local community in this regard, in addition to its participation in local and international events related to book fairs and modern technical information.
Saudi Scientific Association of Islamic Culture
The Saudi Scientific Society for Islamic Culture was established on 8/7/1428 AH based on the approval of the King Faisal University Council in its sixth session for the academic year 1427/1428 AH, based on the decision of the Higher Education Council No. 10-15-1420 AH.
Administration of International Cooperation and Partnerships
King Faisal University, through its International Cooperation and Knowledge Exchange Department, looks forward to strengthening and developing effective and sustainable international communication channels with the world’s finest universities to provide opportunities for knowledge production that conforms to global standards and to encourage joint scientific research and reciprocal international visits for faculty members and students.
Administration of Postgraduate Program
Since its inception, King Faisal University has placed special emphasis on scientific research and graduate studies, striving to provide all the necessary resources to offer high-quality graduate programs in disciplines needed by the country, in fulfillment of its mission and objectives. As a result of the steady expansion of the university's graduate studies programs, an independent Deanship of Graduate Studies was established on August 21, 1984 (21/8/1404 AH), tasked with overseeing the university's graduate programs in coordination with the relevant colleges.
Administration of Investment and Resources Development
The main focus of the department is to maximize the return on investment for the university's resources and assets to achieve its financial goals (diversifying income sources and achieving financial sustainability). The Investment and Resource Development Department's work includes continuously developing and increasing returns by proposing plans to develop the university's assets and properties, coordinating with the private sector to establish partnerships for promising investment projects, and implementing the university's investment plans across all sectors.
Intellectual Awareness Unit
The Intellectual Awareness Unit was established in the academic year 1436/1437 AH. Its initial activities were launched under the direct supervision of His Excellency the University Rector, whose support, guidance, and evaluation played a significant role in its development. The Unit seeks to ensure that all university students, including scholarship students, as well as faculty members and all university employees, benefit from its programs.
Operation and Maintenance Department
Since its establishment in 1975, King Faisal University has been committed to ensuring that all its buildings and facilities are exemplary and contribute to the comfort of university faculty members, employees, and students. Given the importance of this matter, the University established a specialized engineering department concerned with all aspects of operation and maintenance, known as the Operation and Maintenance Department. The department includes an integrated team of engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
Warehouses
The Warehouse Department is considered one of the important departments in any government organization in general and is an essential link within the University's administrative system in particular. Its primary role is to store and manage the various items purchased and retained by the University, whether durable items (fixed assets) or consumable items. The department supplies all university sectors with their requirements for furniture, equipment, stationery, and office supplies according to the established procedures for issuing and distributing materials.
Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs
The Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs and its affiliated units focus on three main areas: students, faculty members, and academic programs. It provides the necessary support to students and a professional environment for faculty members to ensure the success of the educational process and achieve distinguished outcomes. The Vice Presidency also continuously reviews study plans and academic programs, keeps pace with the requirements of the Education and Training Evaluation Commission and academic accreditation standards, and strives to achieve the highest academic standards to enhance the services provided to all beneficiaries and promote excellence in teaching and learning.
General Administration of Corporate Communication and Media
The University Center for Communication and Media was established in the academic year 1398/1399 AH under the name “Public Relations Department,” with its functions assigned to the Office of the University Rector. Its name was later changed to “Public Relations and Media Department” on 5/1/1418 AH. It was subsequently affiliated with the Vice Presidency for Studies, Development, and Community Service by a decision of the University Rector, and its name was changed on 10/2/1431 AH to “Media and Public Relations Department,” with a supervisor appointed to oversee its activities.
University Housing
The Housing Department at King Faisal University was established as an independent department to implement the policies required to provide housing for university employees in accordance with the rules and regulations established by the University's senior management and the Permanent Housing Committee. The department continuously works to provide appropriate services in line with the University's aspirations and expectations and to address emerging developments related to housing and its beneficiaries, given that university housing is one of the key factors affecting the lives of beneficiaries of residential units.
Projects Department
The department is responsible for all internal projects of the University.
Medical Clinics Complex
This department provides medical and therapeutic services to all university employees, including male and female students, employees, and faculty members, through a comprehensive medical program and schedule.
Purchasing and Tendering
The general objective is to meet the University's needs for resources, equipment, devices, services, and construction works in the specified quantities and qualities, at the required time and at an appropriate price.
General Administration of Legal Affairs
The General Administration of Legal Affairs is responsible for providing legal opinions and advice to all university entities and departments regarding the proper application of laws, regulations, and instructions. It reviews all contracts and agreements and ensures that they are legally structured. It also investigates violations attributed to faculty members, employees, and students, and represents the University in cases filed by or against it before the competent authorities, such as the Administrative Court of the Board of Grievances, Labor Courts, and Labor Offices. In addition, it reviews the minutes of college councils, deanships, the Scientific Council, and various university committees.
Security and Safety
Maintaining the security and safety of lives and property throughout all university buildings and facilities.
Community Partnership Development
Universities around the world, and King Faisal University in particular, have placed significant emphasis on community partnership. King Faisal University has been a pioneer in this field among universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The University has incorporated community partnership into its vision and strategic plan, recognizing its importance and vital role.
Scholarship Administration
King Faisal University has placed great importance on scholarships. Accordingly, the Scholarship Administration was established to handle matters related to scholarships and scholarship recipients and to serve university-sponsored scholars both inside and outside the Kingdom. This followed the approval of His Excellency the Minister of Education of a study concerning the restructuring of the University's organizational structure. The study included the addition and modification of the organizational affiliations of several university sectors, including the establishment of the Scholarship Administration.
Vice Presidency for Shared Services
The foundation of the Vice Presidency dates back to 1422 AH, when the University's senior management, in response to the significant expansion and development witnessed by the University, decided to establish an office to oversee the University's administrative and financial affairs. The aim was to advance administrative and financial operations and enable them to keep pace with the University's expansion. This contributed to further progress in the University's operations and the introduction of numerous administrative and financial systems that improved workflow.
Central Laboratories Administration
The Central Laboratories Administration is responsible for research laboratories, laboratory equipment and facilities, as well as supervising the distribution of technicians, utilizing their capabilities, and providing them with training. The administration reports to the Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.
University Transportation Department
The Transportation Department plays an important role in supporting and providing transportation services and establishing an effective system to facilitate transportation for all university members, including students, employees, and faculty members. It also receives delegations from outside the University according to essential work requirements in support of the University and the community.
General Administration of Internal Audit
This administration conducts internal audits by ensuring the review of the systems of oversight bodies in a manner that strengthens their functions and enhances the performance of their duties and responsibilities. It contributes to combating corruption, safeguarding public funds, and ensuring accountability for those who fail to fulfill their responsibilities.
Printing
Printing is one of the University's key scientific, operational, and service-oriented pillars. It operates under the Vice Presidency and continuously keeps pace with the latest professional, creative, and innovative developments in various fields, particularly the transition from manual processes to technology using the latest digital printing technologies developed by leading companies in the printing industry.
Medical Supply Administration
The mission of the Medical Supply Administration is to provide high-quality and efficient medical resources to meet the needs of patients and the University's healthcare facilities.
