Under the patronage of his Excellency the Rector of the University Dr. Abdulaziz Alsaati, the Saudi Aramco Chair on Asphalt Pavement which works under the umbrella of the College of Engineering is conducting a symposium “Safe and Sustainable Pavement Systems in the Gulf Region” on Sunday and Monday 6-7 November, 2016. The symposium brings international and regional experts together to address key issues on pavement safety, durability, and sustainability in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in the Gulf Region. It will provide a forum for exchange of knowledge and experience on recent advancements in pavements to extend airfield and highway pavement service life, limit disruption to traffic, minimize accidents, and reduce emission into the environment. Participants from government agencies, industry, and academia will discuss ways to build and maintain safe pavements for the future. More information is available on www.sacap-sym.org
