Therefore, there is an increase in demand for highly qualified graduates in the field of information technology.

Establishment of CCSIT

The College of Computer Science and Information Technology (CCSIT) was established for male sections in 1424 H and for female sections in 1429 H. It started with two majors, namely Computer Science and Information Systems, the most required in the labor market. These programs were accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation of Engineering and Technology (ABET) in the United States of America in 1431H. A new specialization called Bachelor of Computer Networks was introduced in the student sections in 1433H to further enhance the CCSIT outcomes. In 1434H, the college started accepting the first batch of master's programs to keep pace with the current and future labor market.
