Computer Engineering Department

Overview

The field of computer engineering has experienced rapid growth across various industries, making it one of the fastest-developing sectors today. Saudi Arabia has recognized the importance of computer technology in modernizing its industries and business systems, and has therefore given special attention to this field. To meet the labor market demands in the Kingdom, the Department of Computer Engineering was established within the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at King Faisal University. The department offers comprehensive theoretical and practical programs aimed at preparing qualified computer engineers who can keep pace with rapid technological advancements and apply them effectively to meet the local labor market's needs.

Providing outstanding computer engineering education and conducting innovative research that addresses the local and global problems and strengthens the digital economy by developing competitive human capabilities and promoting sustainable research through effective strategic partnerships.

Goals

  1. Equip students with modern technical knowledge and practical skills in computer hardware, software, digital technologies and embedded systems to enable direct employment locally and globally.
  2. Empower students and faculty with competitive skills in an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
  3. Prepare students for postgraduate studies and research in computer engineering related fields through strong mentorship
  4. Strengthening the research quality and its impact on sustainable economy
  5. Supporting King Faisal University initiatives in innovation and Entrepreneurship for business growth
  6. Building the community partnership by advancing collaborative efforts with industry partners in the emerging areas of Computer Engineering

The graduates of CE program will be:
