Overview
nformation Systems is considered one of the fundamental pillars of the modern
digital era, playing a pivotal role in supporting decision-making, improving operational
efficiency, and enhancing the competitive capabilities of organizations. This discipline
represents an intersection between technology and management, combining technical concepts
such as programming, databases, and information security with managerial concepts such as
project management.
With the rapid advancement in digital transformation and data analytics, the need for
specialized Information Systems professionals has become more urgent than ever before,
making this field one of the most in-demand disciplines. In response, the Department of
Information Systems has sought to meet the growing labor-market needs for qualified
specialists. The department aims to prepare graduates capable of providing innovative
technological solutions that improve organizational performance and enhance effective
decision-making through its two distinguished academic programs:

These programs focus on equipping students with the knowledge and skills
needed to analyze, design, and develop information systems. The Bachelor of Science in
Computer Information Systems program has been accredited by the Accreditation Board for
Engineering and Technology (ABET), in addition to the department obtaining accreditation
from the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation (NCAAA).
