Bachelor’s Program

The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become competent and effective dental practitioners.

Program Duration

Six academic years.

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).

Admission Requirements

  • The applicant must meet the general admission requirements of King Faisal University.
  • The student must successfully complete the Preparatory Year Program with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher to be eligible for admission to the College of Dentistry.
  • The student must pass any examinations or personal interviews conducted by the college.

Completion of a one-year internship program.

Master's Program

Master's Program

The Master's Program in Dental Public Health aims to provide an understanding of the basic principles of public health as well as enable students to understand the theoretical basis of dental public health. The program also illustrates dental public health issues in a local, national and global context and through which the student learns strategies to evaluate and address these issues.

3 years (6 semesters).

  • Completion of 1 year Internship.
  • Must meet all King Faisal University's admission requirements for Master’s program.
  • Passing admission test (English language, statistical skills, general knowledge).
  • Research proposal.
  • Two letters of recommendations.
Program goals

  • Prepare postgraduates with an in-depth knowledge of the principles of dental public health
  • Make proficient and critically thinking specialists those excel their careers in Dental Public Health field
  • Develop competent and skilled postdoctoral professionals to analyze complex public health problems in the community and to evaluate, design, and implement community-based interventions to address their problems
  • Prepare DPH specialists for leadership positions in academia, community health ,government, or public health agencies
  • Equip postgraduates with research skills to assess oral health status, needs and to introduce to them the requirements and principles of scientific writing.
