King Faisal University

College of Business Administration

The program requires a non-assessment residency period that starts at the beginning of the program, and requires two weeks. Activities during this period include: orientation to the program which includes preparing students for the purpose of upgrading their knowledge and skills to reach the levels for the MBA Program. It will also include, an overview of certain business related disciplines (e.g., Management Systems and Decision Making, Information Technology, Economics, Accounting, Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Statistics, and Research Methodology), and seminars on topical issues (e.g., Communication Skills, Learning Skills, Time Management, Stress Management, Negotiation Skills, and Creative Thinking).
The MBA Primer: mini-course in accounting, finance, statistics, and economics will be delivered using MBA Primer from South-Western Publishing. This CD-based program of study is designed to provide the basic background in each of these areas for students who have not had undergraduate courses in those topics. It is also used as a refresher for those who had these undergraduate courses some time ago. Using the CD, students will progress through the four topic areas at their own pace. They should work through the materials prior to the introduction of that topic in the program.
