The Deanship of Scientific Research hosts an American consultative delegation specialized in intellectual property protection and patent registration

In the context of the efforts of the Deanship of Scientific Research to encourage innovation and support patents for the King Faisal University, His Excellency the Dean of Scientific Research Dr. Muhammad bin Salem Al-Saikhan received Mr. Richard Littman and Mr. Joshua Goldberg of the American Nath Meyer Goldberg Firm that specializes in the protection of intellectual property and consulting patent licensing in the United States and international patents, in the presence of His Excellency the vice dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Mansour Alyahya, and Dr. Mahmoud Kandeel Alsayed and Dr. Mahish Attimard, members of the Advisory Committee of the Deanship of Scientific Research.

Initially, His Excellency the Dean of Scientific Research welcomed the attendees and reviewed the research achievements and developments in the intellectual property and patent system at King Faisal University in the last two years, and discussed the ways to motivate researchers at the university to research and innovate and how to facilitate patent registration procedures. The latest developments in the protection of intellectual property were also discussed. During the meeting, the time-frame for registering a patent was discussed, and how to overcome the obstacles that researchers may encounter while registering patents.

At the end of the meeting, the two partners agreed to continue their joint cooperation and support the existing partnership between the university and the American firm in the field of intellectual property protection for KFU researchers products and to overcome all obstacles facing patent registration processes.
