Objectives
- Implement Regulations: Applying the regulations, procedures, and instructions outlined in the Government Warehousing Rules and Procedures.
- Secure Controlled Substances: Ensuring the secure storage of narcotic medications at the medical clinics in accordance with the requirements of the General Authority for Food and Drug and the Compliance Administration of the Ministry of Health.
- Timely Procurement: Ensuring that all needs are secured well in advance of stock depletion, allowing patients to receive the required services immediately.
- Safety Principles: Applying general safety principles and rules in warehouses when storing materials, supplies, and tools, and coordinate inventory to facilitate the dispensing process.
- Develop Medical Programs: Providing developmental medical programs for healthcare personnel.
- Needs Analysis: Contributing to analyzing and estimating future needs for medical supplies and resources required for patients, in collaboration with health entities at the university.
- Procurement Planning: Collaborating with the Procurement Department based on the specific needs of health entities at the university and the available budget.
- Supplier Research: Conducting research and investigation to identify reliable suppliers for the required medical needs.
- Purchase and Contract Procedures: Engaging in purchasing and contract agreements in collaboration with the Administration of Procurement based on required specifications and health standards.
- Inventory Monitoring: Continuously monitoring inventory with the Inventory Control Unit to ensure timely availability of medical needs and avoid shortages or surpluses.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensuring quality and compliance with health and safety standards for all imported or purchased medical equipment.
- Delivery and Distribution Coordination: Overseeing the coordination of delivery and distribution of medical equipment to the appropriate health entities according to schedule and needs.
