Submission guidelines:
Authors must meticulously follow the submission guidelines in accordance with the journal’s policy. Failure to comply will hinder the paper’s publication process.

Scientific Accuracy:
The content of the submitted papers must be precise, scientifically accurate, and supported by relevant data and citations.

Paper Organization:
The paper must be logically organized, following a clear structure.

Citation and Documentation:
All sources and references must be cited according to the citation style prescribed by the journal.

There are three files you should prepare before submitting your paper to the journal:
1. Cover letter for the editor​:​​​
It explains the importance of the paper, its contribution of new information to the research field, and how it compares to previous studies on the same topic, whether in terms of similarities or differences. It should explicitly state that the paper has not been submitted to another publisher simultaneously. Additionally, it must indicate whether the author has used artificial intelligence tools in the research, specifying the parts where they were applied. It should also mention whether there are any conflicts of interest.​

2. Prepare the Title Page (Word Document):
Paper Title: Should not exceed 15 words (if written in Arabic, it must be translated into English).
Author Information: Include the name(s) of the author(s), along with their affiliation(s) (department, faculty, university, city, country).
Author Biography:
Part 1: Personal details such as name, department, faculty, university, city, country, phone number, and email.
Part 2: A paragraph of 80-90 words including the author's title (Dr., Mr., Ms.), nationality, academic rank (e.g., Professor, Associate Professor, Lecturer), highest qualification (e.g., master’s or PhD), place of degree conferral (university, country, year), current position, research interests, major publications, and web or ORCID profile.

3. Prepare the Main Paper (Word Document):
  • The journal follows a double blined​ peer review process, so authors should ensure that no identifying information is included in the manuscript. The manuscript will be sent to reviewers as it is.
  • Paper Word Count: The total word count should not exceed 8,000 words, including references, tables, figures, abstract, author information, and any other elements such as margins or Roman numerals.
  • Abstract: The abstract should not exceed 200 words (if written in Arabic, it must be translated into English).
  • Keywords: Authors should provide no more than six keywords. These keywords should not be repeated in the title and must not exceed two sections for each one (if written in Arabic, it must be translated into English).
  • Tables and Figures: The paper should include no more than six tables and six figures/images.
  • References: The number of references should not exceed 40 unless the paper is a review article.

Submit by Email to the Academic Editor:
  • Research papers should be submitted to the Editor of Basic and Applied Sciences at (secretary-b@kfu.edu.sa).
  • The editor will review the submission​ to ensure compliance with the Publication Guidelines:
  • If the paper does not adhere to the guidelines, it will be returned to the corresponding author for necessary revisions.
  • If the paper meets the guidelines, the editor will create an account for the author and provide login credentials (username and password), allowing the author to submit the paper through the electronic submission system, click  [here].​
Strict adherence to these procedures will ensure the efficient processing of research papers​
