Establishment and Location

Establishment:
 King Faisal University (KFU) was founded in 1975 (1395H) in the City of Hofuf, Al-Ahsa. At the beginning KFU comprised four colleges, namely the Colleges of Agricultural and Food Sciences; the Veterinary Medicine and Animal Resources in Hofuf; the Colleges of Medicine; Architecture in Dammam City.


Location
 KFU is located in the southern part of the city of Hofuf and occupies a total area of  approximately 4,000,000 square meters.
 The university’s Research and Training Station near Guaiba village (16 Km of The Campus), which harboured some research centres and the Veterinary Hospital, sits on a land space of 6,000,000 square meters. In addition, the new Medical teaching hospital (under construction) with its capacity of 400-patient beds is situated on a 1,500,000 square-meter land, 25 kilometres east of the city of Hofuf.
