Dean's Message
On behalf of the College of Engineering, I welcome you all and I ask Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to help us all towards success.
I was appointed Dean of the College of Engineering, at a point when the College was well on its way to reaching its goals in maintaining Quality Teaching and Learning and creating a dynamic research environment, in consideration of the Kingdom's vision and needs. On the one hand, this is a weighty trust and responsibility, and on the other, it is a blessing and I hope to contribute in bringing continuous improvement to the College, which will benefit our students, who are the future leaders of our society.
I greatly acknowledge the efforts and vision of my predecessors, without which the College would not have been able to reach the position it is at today. I would also like to acknowledged the tireless efforts of our faculty and administrative staff who have been working to strengthen the College since its birth.
Some of the College's outstanding achievements are that four of its programs have obtained ABET accreditation unti 2021, and it is in the process of establishing research chairs in the various fields of Engineering with a view to finding solutions to the Kingdom's needs.
Nevertheless, I believe that there is still plenty of room for improvement and advancement. My vision is to move forward with the establishment of post graduate studies, while maintaining ABET accreditation for all programs, and to launch new programs for undergraduate students based on the needs of the Kingdom. All of the College's strategic objectives are aligned with the strategic objectives of the University. The College is committed to go with KSA's 2030 Vision.
My personal principle follows as "The student is the first priority." Thus, Quality Teaching and Learning is our prime concern.
Kind Regards,
Dr. Tawfiq Abdul-Aziz Al-Mughanam
Dean, College of Engineering
