About the Faculty: 

Health Education: 

The government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has paid all its attention to the interest of the Saudi individual and works hardly to ascend its work, ideas and work to enable  to cope up with the tremendous development witnessed by the Kingdom in all areas. In harmony with the educational comprehensive renaissance of which the Kingdom lives and for the need of Ministry of Health and the health sectors,  to prepare national technical and specialized competencies, as the health service sector in the Kingdom has seen tremendous leaps in respect of the quality and level of services provided to citizens .. The Saudi specialized doctors and technicians have enjoyed a big deal of attention for developing their scientific and vocational level. In that support, considering the establishment of health Faculties for boys and girls to graduate national Saudi cadres who are competent to cope with the great development witnessed by the Kingdom in all fields of health. 

based on the respectable Royal Decree No. 11 032 / m / b dated on 22/12/1428 H on transferring the affiliations of institutes and faculties of health from the Ministry of Health to the Ministry of Higher Education, so we look forward through the joinment to reflect positively in terms of the development of academic education and provide better services for our students. 

About the Faculty of Health: 

The opening of Al-Ahsa Faculty of Health Science was made in 1415 H, in line with the ministry's plan of raising the level of students to be qualified technicians and is based on a decision from his Excellency the Minister of Health No. 94/1/29 dated on 10/1/1415 H, the plan which joined the Ministry of Higher Education by the virtue of the Royal Decree No. 11 032 / m / e dated on 22/12/1428. It is an educational and cultural organization works according to the legislation of Islamic law and the implement the educational health policy of the Kingdom of health education and works on providing higher health education and training and the advancing the scientific research and encouraging the writing, translation, publishing and continuing education and community service.

The Faculty consists of a set of scientific sections each section has a council formed of faculty members, consultants, specialists, docents, teachers and assistant professors and technicians affiliated to that Section. 

Each section has its powers in the scientific and administrative affairs within the limits of Faculty health regulations and systems in effect as the section is in charge to supervise the students under its responsibility and follow-up attendance educationally, practically and in field and file reports periodically to the Dean, on the students’ scientific levels.

General objectives of health education:

1. Raise the level of technical and vocational expertise to the students to graduate technicians of both genders at a high level of efficiency that helps them to keep pace with the rapid advances witnessed by the different health sectors in the Kingdom.
2. Enhancing the technical skills and sense of vocational and functional association to the student and impart them with the behavioral functional patterns within the field and summer training,
3. Doubling the number of the technical graduates and achieving self-sufficiency of Saudi technicians who are qualified scientifically and practically and can play their role highly effectively in the various health sectors.
4. Saudizing jobs effectively without breaking the qualitative and quantitative employment rates and overcoming the administrative orientation problem for some health technicians.
5. Working to influence the environment surrounding the Faculty to raise health awareness among citizens and that is in coordination with the competent authorities in the region which are concerned with holding such symposia, lectures, training courses and exchange of visits through extracurricular activities plan and the Department of Continuing Medical Education in the Faculty.
