Department of Acadmics

   The Department of Academics provides services for faculty members and persons of equivalent status. It provides support for faculty members to attend conferences, workshops and seminars, which raise the scientific level of the university, and it performs all related tasks.

 Among the tasks of the department are:

1.Granting flight ticket letters to faculty members and persons of equivalent status.2.Referring decisions of return-to-work notices and payments for staff members returning from scholarships to the competent signatories.
3.Issuing bona fide certificates and experience certificates for faculty members and persons of equivalent status.4.Preparing and issuing decisions of disbursement of committees' rewards to  faculty members and persons of equivalent status.
5.Preparing and issuing decisions of sick-leaves for faculty members and persons of equivalent status.6.Preparing and issuing decisions of maternity leaves for female faculty members and persons of equivalent status.
7.Preparing and issuing decisions of exceptional leaves for faculty members and persons of equivalent status.8.Preparing and issuing decisions of sabbatical leaves for faculty members.
9.Preparing and issuing decisions of flight ticket letters for instructors examined abroad.
 10.Preparing and issuing decisions of disbursement of allowances to faculty members and persons of equivalent status.
11.Preparing and issuing decisions of renewal for faculty members who have reached the statutory retirement age.12.Issuing decisions pertaining to the annual increments for faculty members.
13.Issuing decisions of off-campus assignments for faculty members14.Issuing decisions on overtime teaching load for faculty members.
15.Issuing the necessary decisions for employment ending of contracted faculty members when it is needed.16.Issuing decisions on annual and emergency leaves as well as return –to-work decisions for faculty members.
17.Preparing and issuing decisions related to the resignation of faculty members and persons of equivalent status.18.Organizing cultural, social and recreational events and activities geared specifically for faculty members.
19.Drawing up the annual reports pertaining to faculty members who have served at the university for ten years.20.Preparing and issuing decisions of assignment for deans and vice deans as well as for acting  deans and vice deans in case of deans and vice deans' doing official tasks nationally or internationally 
21.Preparing and issuing decisions granting deans, vice deans and directors of research centers summer vacations along with preparing and issuing decisions of assignment for the respective acting ones.22.Preparing and issuing decisions of employment ending for contracted faculty members and persons of equivalent status due to reaching the statutory age or in other cases of death or disability
23.Liaising with colleges on whether or not they wish to renew the contracts of faculty members who have served at the university for ten years24.Referring  the university's wish to renew the contracts of faculty members who have served at the university for ten years to the Ministry of Higher Education
25.Liaising with colleges about faculty members who have reached the statutory retirement age and the  the extent of the college's wish to extend their contracts to avail of their services
