Management tasks:
1. Implementing the plans, programs and budget for the administration’s activities after their approval.
2. Prepare a general plan to control the security system and organize traffic within the university’s roads and gates and its external facilities and work on it during the year.
3. Develop the necessary operational measures and plans to achieve security and safety for all university attendees in its various buildings and facilities and supervise their implementation in coordination with the relevant authorities inside and outside the university.
4. Preparing detailed plans to implement the university’s tasks and duties, in the relevant national emergency, crisis and disaster plans, and coordinating with the relevant authorities to update and develop them in accordance with the university’s actual locations.
5. General supervision of the management of operational contracts related to the provision of security and safety services and contributing to their analysis, development and updating in a way that suits the university’s needs.
6. Monitoring the application of security and safety rules and systems and instructions issued in this regard by the relevant authorities (Ministry of Interior, Civil Defense).
7. Implementing the traffic plan and organizing traffic movement inside the university’s squares and its external facilities and in the parking lots and squares, and eliminating congestion at peak times, while organizing the entry and exit of individuals and vehicles through the main gates.
8. General supervision of the operation of the operating room, controlling cameras and surveillance systems, and receiving emergency reports around the clock during crises and disasters.
9. Follow up on security incidents that occur within university facilities and colleges and initially investigate them in coordination with the competent authorities.
10. Continuing to provide guards and security services around the clock, on Fridays, Saturdays, and on official holidays, including: -
- Receive emergency reports around the clock through the emergency number (9900)
- Monitoring the entrances and exits of the university and its other units, operating the main gates after official working hours, and checking the entry and exit permits of materials in accordance with the applicable regulations.
- Regulating entry, exit and traffic in residential areas, guarding buildings and inspecting them after employees leave, ensuring that all offices, warehouses and laboratories are closed and notifying the entity in the event of any deficiencies that disturb security in the building.
- Conducting security patrols to monitor roads and facilities and monitor and address suspicious movements.
11. Supervising the provision of security for events, seminars, and workshops held by the university, participating in receiving delegations that visit the university, and facilitating their entry and movement.
12. Issuing entry permits for visitors and representatives of companies and institutions that do business at the university, as well as permits for the entry or exit of equipment and supplies.
13. Issuing entry permits for the cars of male and female university employees and organizing parking.
14. Issuing entry cards for workers from operating, maintenance, cleaning, and other companies that have long contracts with the university.
15. Ensure the availability of security, safety and fire prevention requirements and all fire-fighting means, devices and equipment and safety systems in all facilities affiliated with the university.
16. Conduct periodic field tours that include all the university’s buildings, facilities, and departments, through which all observations that could harm the safety of lives and property are monitored in video reports that are submitted to the concerned authorities to address them.
17. Coordination with the Civil Defense Directorate to conduct joint field tours of university facilities to ensure the availability of security and safety elements and the extent of their readiness in this aspect.
18. Spreading preventive awareness and disseminating safety principles among all male and female employees of the university and its colleges through bulletins, educational panels, lectures, seminars, and organizing training courses on security and safety.
19. Prepare an annual plan to implement virtual building evacuation exercises
20. Implementing building evacuation regulations and periodic training for university employees to ensure the efficiency and adequacy of equipment and supplies.
21. Ensuring the safety and efficient operation of security and safety systems and means in university buildings and facilities.
22. Determine security and safety needs and requirements and communicate with the competent authorities to secure them.
23. Determine the administration’s needs for manpower, materials and equipment and follow up on their provision.
24. Identifying the training needs of administration staff and coordinating with the relevant deanship regarding nominations for programs that meet those needs.
25. Preparing periodic reports on the administration’s activities, achievements, and development proposals and submitting them to the Director General of Central Services.
