About the University Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs
Under the supervision of the University President, the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs serves as the university's chief academic officer and is responsible for educational policies and academic programs. This includes curriculum development, teaching and learning development, assessment of student learning, program review, accreditation and development, academic staff decisions, budget development, enrollment management and advancement of student success.
In this context, the University Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs and its affiliated bodies are committed to focusing on the three main axes (the student, the faculty member, and the academic programs), providing the necessary support to the student and providing the professional environment for the faculty members towards achieving the maximum benefit and making the educational process successful in order to obtain distinguished outcomes. The agency is also keen to continuously review study plans and academic programs, develop administrative and academic performance at the level of the agency and its affiliated departments, and keep pace with the requirements of the Academic Evaluation and Accreditation Commission to achieve the highest academic standards to improve the services provided to all beneficiaries and achieve excellence in teaching and learning.
From the perspective of enabling the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs - essentially - the various colleges and academic deanships to carry out their teaching and learning functions in a new model; Whereas King Faisal University would like to provide, in the coming years, future education that enables students to acquire knowledge, values, and changing skills to confront professional, economic, technological, and societal changes, the University Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs seeks to achieve the vision and mission of King Faisal University, to provide future-oriented education and stimulating research for development and change.
