The committee shall apply the bylaw governing the Scientific Chairs at King Faisal University, especially the missions in article (31) of the bylaw as follows:
1- Formulating the general policy of the university's scientific chairs.
2- Approving the rules and regulations that direct the work of the scientific chair.
3- Approving performance reports of scientific chairs.
4- Approving the annual budget of the chairs and their final account reports.
5- Appointing an auditor and determining his fees (legal office).
6- Approving the annual report of scientific chairs programs.
7- Approving the financial policy of scientific chairs.
8- Recommending amendments to the bylaw governing the scientific chairs and presenting them to the University Council for approval.
9- Approving the mechanism of selecting the supervisors of the scientific chairs.
The present Main Committee of the Scientific Chairs at the university is composed of Prof. Hasan Bin Rafdan Al-Hajhoj (Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research) as committee chairman, and the following as members:
1- Prof. Abdurrahman Bin Ibrahim Al-Mogel
2- Asphalt Road Research Chair Supervisor
3- Dr. Nadir Aliane
4- Dr. Munirah Fahad Aldayel
5- Mr. Saeed Mohamed Osman Shami
• Mr. Mohammad Bin Abaas Al-Shehab is the committee secretary whose duty is preparation for, and follow up of, meetings.
