1-the department of Biomedical Sciences :

This section is specified in the field of the human body anatomical, embryonic, functional, and chemical knowledge, and concerned with finding out the etiology and causes of the diseases and the infection, the drugs and the linkage and integration between this knowledge and the clinical knowledge

2. the department of Family & Community Medicine:

This section is concerned with the field of health care knowledge with its broad definition for the family, the  community and it is interested in the application and the development of the basic health care concepts for the individuals and the society in terms of examination , cure, prevention and rehabilitation of students in these.

3-the department of Internal Medicine:

 This section is concerned with the field of knowledge of heart disease, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, endocrine, kidney, metabolism, rheumatism, tumors, blood, and skin infections as well as medical imaging. And it is concerned with qualifying the students in how to deal with patients, how to take medical history and the methods of clinical examination, laboratory investigations and imaging with the methods of treatment, prevention and medical advice and psychological and social support of the disease on a professional basis. This section also concerns with the linkage between the fields of knowledge and the basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and chemistry of the human body.

4-the department of Surgery:

 This section is concerned with the field of medical knowledge of the general surgery for the diseases and injuries, burns, organ transplantations and it also includes the knowledge of orthopedics, urology, and ear, nose and throat, ophthalmology and anesthesia. And it is interested in training the students on how to handle the patient( or the injured subject) medically and the methods of general clinical testing procedures , imaging and surgical interventions and the methods of medical and surgical preparations of the patients prior to surgical operations and health care after the surgery as well, and also the psychological and social support of the patients, which should be based on professional basis and it is interested in linking its various  fields of knowledge with the basic medical knowledge.

5-the department of Clinical Neuroscience(neurology):

This section concerns with the field of medical and surgical knowledge of neurology and psychiatry, in addition to providing theoretical knowledge, this section also provides training for the students dealing with patients suffering from neurological and psychological disorders, as well as the testing and treatment procedures for them, and to provide guidance for medical, psychological and social support on the basis of professional care along with linking the clinical knowledge with other pre and post clinical knowledge.

6-the department of gynaecology and obstetrics:

This section concerns with the area of medical and surgical knowledge of the injuries and the diseases of the female reproductive system, and the knowledge of pregnancy and normal labor and the pharmacological and surgical interventions for the childbirth. it is also interested in training the students on how to deal with patients on a professional basis and the ways of medical and laboratory tests and the surgical interventions and the follow-up stages of pregnancy and childbirth, the department is also concerned with linking its specific areas of knowledge with the basic knowledge.

7-the department of paediatrics:

This department is concerned with the field of the knowledge of diseases of children with its various specialties and medical care training to students on the basis of dealing with pediatrics and their methods of clinical examination , laboratory ,imaging and treatment and how to administrate advices for infants’ families  with regard to treatment , prevention, nutrition, psychological and social support on professional basis, also the department is concerned with linking the paediatric knowledge to the  basic sciences and other specialities.

8-the department of emergency medicine and accidents:

 This department is concerned with the emergency medicine and it is interested in training the students how to deal with patients in such cases, the aspects of medical history taking, examination and clinical diagnostic laboratory tests and imaging and therapeutic interventions which are required in the hospital and the site of injury.

9- the department of Medical Education:

This department is concerned with showing the integration and interference among all the medical fields, especially between the pre-clinical sciences, the clinical, and the Clinical sciences. It is also concerned with the organization of the clinical training for the students on the basis of this integration and overlapping between all the different aspects of dealing with patients and laboratory and therapeutic interventional procedures .As well as reviewing and the curricular development, courses’ administration, and the qualification of faculty members.
