Professor Amal Fatani is a Board Member of the Saudi Human Rights Commission represents
the Human Rights at the Saudi National Family Council and The Committee for
Enhancement of Mental Health at MOH. She has represented KSA at the UN in Geneva &
New York, the Arab League in Cairo & Bahrain, as well as regularly meeting International
Delegations and Ambassadors at the Commission. She holds a VP position at TATA
Consulting Services (TCS) as Consultant & Head of the All-Women Business Process & IT
Services Center in Riyadh, KSA, set up by Saudi Aramco and Joint venture between TCS
and General Electric (GE) where she helped grow it from 400 when she joined in 2015 to
almost 1000 employees as of 2018 ensuring delivery of excellence to 7 customers providing
diversified high impact services. She is also A Renal Care Services Consultant at Baxter Intl.
With her background in Health & Education and her extensive network she has
collaborated with Ministers of Economy & Planning, Labor & Social Development,
Communication and IT as well as Health, to support Saudi Vision 2030 concentrating on
women & youth employment & empowerment. Before working at TATA she served as
Consultant & General Supervisor of Female Affairs, Ministry of Higher Education. This
followed her role as General Supervisor of Female Sections in all Sectors in the Ministry.
She set up the Annual Leaders in Higher Education Institutes Forum, participated in a
variety of National committees & represented the Ministry in several international Events
on different continents involving students around the globe. This was a culmination of several
leadership positions that helped Dr. Fatani attain vast experience in Education, as well as
excelling in communication skills as well as setting up, managing and ensuring the sustained
growth of Centers & Colleges whether in the corporate world, the Ministry or King Saud
University (KSU). In the latter, she was appointed Chair Person of Female Pharmacology &
Toxicology Department, going on to becoming the first Vice Dean of Female College of
Pharmacy, then as first Dean of (9) Female Scientific & Medical College (Medicine,
Dentistry, Pharmacy, Allied Medical Sciences, Nursing, Health Diplomas, Computer
Sciences & IT, Basic Sciences, Agriculture and Nutrition), before going on to set up the
Female Sections in all Sectors in the Ministry of Higher Education.
She is a founding board member of Saudi Research Science Institute at King Abdulla
University for Science and Technology, A Consultant at The Training Room Online TTRO,
and a member of the International Affairs Advisory Committee at Al Faisal University. She
is currently a board member at King Abdul Aziz and his companion's Foundation for
giftedness and creativity "Mawhiba" before that for (6) years she was a part-time
Consultant and reviewer.
Prof. Amal Fatani holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the Department of
Pharmaceutical Sciences at The University of Strathclyde, UK. Before her Ph.D., She
obtained both her Master`s and Bachelor`s degrees in Pharmacology and Toxicology from
the College of Pharmacy at King Saudi University, Saudi Arabia where she is currently a
Professor.
