The Bird Research Center is administratively affiliated with His Excellency the Vice Dean for Studies
Higher education and scientific research.
*Administrative and technical supervision:
For everything related to specialized research activities in the field of studies of domestic and wild birds in accordance with the rules and regulations in force at the university.

Scientific and administrative supervision
The financial responsibility of the center ensures good performance of the work.
1-Distribution of work among employees
The center as required by the interest of work.
2-Prepare plans for the center and submit a periodic report on the progress of work, problems, difficulties and proposals to the center’s board of directors to take what it deems appropriate.
3-Issuing introductory brochures about the center and research plans and programs approved by the center’s board of directors in coordination with the concerned authorities
4-Issuing introductory brochures about the center and research plans and programs approved by the center’s board of directors in coordination with the concerned authorities
5-Coordination with relevant authorities regarding the Center’s projects and research
6-Proposing means and methods that contribute to the effectiveness of developing the work of the center
7-Approval of records of receipt of devices, equipment, and items secured to the center
8-Signing disbursement requests from the university’s main warehouse.
9-Recommending contracts with experts, technical and administrative staff, and the necessary labor for the center according to a plan approved by the center’s board of directors, as well as recommending canceling their contracts or not renewing them after this is approved by the center’s board of directors.
10-Direct contact with government departments and departments and others regarding everything that falls within his jurisdiction, taking into account the functional level.
11-Approval to grant regular and emergency leaves to the center’s employees
12-Reporting the commencement of work to the center’s employees and providing the Deanship of Faculty and Employee Affairs with a copy of that, as well as managing the follow-up of cases of delay, absence, and leaving work.

**The Center’s Board of Directors
-1- Propose an annual research plan and prepare the necessary draft budget.
-2- Study what is referred to it by the Council of the Deanship of Scientific Research.
-3- Studying the research projects of faculty members and their equivalents and following up on their implementation.
-4- Study research projects and studies requested by entities outside the university, select researchers, follow up on their implementation, and propose rewards for those conducting them in accordance with the rules regulating that.
-5- Recommending spending from the established research budget within the limits of the powers regulating that.
-6- Study the annual report, final account, and draft budget of the center and submit it to the competent authority.

*Scientific research unit
1- Proposing new research projects in accordance with the center’s annual plan.
2- Preparing research proposals and following up on their implementation. 3- Supervising the research of students and researchers.
4- Follow up on ongoing research and prepare the necessary technical reports.
5- Scientific publishing in scientific classified journals.
6- Coordinating participation in scientific conferences and seminars.

**Training and development unit

-Developing training and development plans for the center’s employees
-Conducting workshops and training courses.
-Proposing training courses for students, researchers and those interested in the matter.
-Studying training requests transferred from other parties for training within the center.
-Supervising the training of students and those interested from outside the university.
-Coordinating with relevant authorities to hold training courses.

***Administrative and Financial Affairs Unit

-Administrative supervision
-Follow up the attendance and departure of employees at the center
-Supervising the organization of employees’ annual vacations.
-Supervising and following up on contractors’ procedures.
-Follow up the work and tasks assigned to employees until they are completed.
-Receiving incoming transactions to the center and creating new transactions.
-Copying and printing outgoing and incoming letters.
-Archiving, organizing and saving transactions.
-Receiving visitors and preparing the necessary equipment.
-Preparing periodic reports on the center and its activities.

*Financial supervision
1- Supervising and receiving the allocated annual financial advance

2- Filling out forms and records related to the administration’s financial affairs and covenants.
3- Filling out special records
Purchase orders in the electronic financial system.
4-Follow up purchase requests and study offers with the concerned authorities.
5-Receiving materials and preparing receipt records.
6- Preparing periodic reports for the concerned authorities.
7- Carrying out an inventory and accounting of assets and covenants.

**Media supervision:
1- Managing and updating the center’s website on the university portal.
2-Managing the center’s website on social media platforms.
3- Fulfilling the required comments from the designated authorities.
4-Technical supervision of exhibitions, meetings, and follow-up with the concerned authorities.
5- Coordinating and writing news and covering activities and events.
6- Documenting and preserving the activities and events in which the center participated, along with photos and evidence
