How happy we are at King Faisal University, the city of science in the Al-Ahsa oasis. To welcome you through its electronic portal, and its windows overlooking the achievements of this ancient university, and its achievements extending over more than four and a half decades since the year 1395 AH 1975 corresponding to 1975 AD, and its continuing giving, thanks to God Almighty, and then with the generous care it enjoys and unlimited support from our wise leadership. - May God bless her - out of her belief in the pioneering and leadership role assigned to the nation’s educational and research institutions; To contribute to achieving comprehensive national development.
Since the emergence of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, Saudi universities have been on a historic date with transformation and development. To keep pace with this national development movement in all fields, and to be at the forefront of the agencies and institutions contributing to achieving the vision’s directions; Through its deep belief in the impact of these trends in shaping the future of the nation, and its initiative to mobilize all its scientific, research and service capabilities; To maximize its investment capabilities and its strategic presence in the national transformation map.
In the context of the remarkable transformation witnessed by Saudi universities in this prosperous era; The initiative had to redefine its identity in line with the transformations of the knowledge economy and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and present it as an ideal model for higher education institutions in the twenty-first century, by building a synergistic and integrated research, development, innovation and manufacturing system that makes universities a major partner in our national industries and sectors. Service, through which it contributes to enhancing local content and filling the needs of multiple industries for scientific research.
From this standpoint, King Faisal University, being an integrated scientific, research and service city, is replete with the grace of God Almighty and the generous care and support it has received from our wise government - may God bless it - with specialized national and international cadres, and modern capabilities and equipment. It has moved towards comprehensive strategic planning derived from... National transformation plans, to contribute to reaching the goal of Vision 2030 by creating a sustainable system that includes research, development, measurement, and food manufacturing, to be in the field of excellence and differentiation nationally, regionally, and globally. Qualitative leaps have been achieved in areas Education, scientific research and community partnership, and charts its future path in light of a development identity that is directed towards contributing to achieving food security and environmental sustainability across nine fields: water, agriculture, environment, technology, health, transportation, management, and manufacturing, in addition to the tributaries of excellence that will continue. Its giving is in light of the university’s educational, research and societal responsibility.
The gains and achievements achieved by the university, thanks to God Almighty, and then with the support of the wise leadership - may God support it - are nothing but the harvest of efforts made by the loyal employees and students of the university throughout its long life, and we are all confident in God Almighty, and we hope and pray that the future prospects of this university will be realized. The university seeks to achieve qualitative achievements and contributions that fulfill the aspirations of the nation’s leadership and have a great impact on its internal and external surroundings.
