Research Activities

Among the scientific research activities at the Center for Water and Environmental Studies:

  • The National Project for Palm Fertilization: Advisory Service Phase for Fertilization Recommendations.
  • Study of the phenomenon of saline water intrusion and its effects on groundwater reservoirs in the Al-Ahsa Oasis.
  • The effect of subsurface and surface drip irrigation with the addition of hydrogel polymer on water consumption, yield, and quality of melon crops in the Al-Ahsa Oasis.
  • Evaluation of irrigation water quality in farms in Al-Ahsa (135 farms).
  • Evaluation of the suitability of different types of irrigation water for agricultural purposes.
  • Applications of agricultural geophysics in Al-Ahsa Oasis.
