Dr Rajendra Shirahatti passed his MBBS from India and trained as General Surgeon in Mumbai. He was awarded the Commonwealth Fellowship to train for Surgical Gastroenterology in Sheffield, where he was awarded the FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.

Dr Shirahatti has extensive experience in hepatobiliary surgery and gastrointestinal endoscopy. He is keenly interested in advances in the field of Medical Education, particularly in Medical Simulation. He set up the Medical Simulation in the College and integrated Simulation training into undergraduate curriculum. He has several publications and presentations in the field of Medical Education and Gastrointestinal Surgery.
