Specialization in human resources management


Overview

General Objective of the Program:


This program aims to prepare and qualify national cadres to undertake roles and tasks in the management and development of human resources and workforce planning in various units and institutions in both the public and private sectors. This is achieved by providing them with the scientific knowledge and professional skills necessary to efficiently and professionally work in the field of human resource management.


Specific Objectives of the Program:


Equipping program students with scientific knowledge and fundamental skills to work in the field of human resource management.


Linking the theoretical and practical aspects in teaching program courses to qualify students to meet the requirements and needs of the Saudi labor market.


Developing and enhancing the creative and innovative abilities of program students in the field of human resource management.


Keeping pace with global developments in human resource management and striving to develop the professional work environment in this field in line with the needs of the Saudi community.


Working towards creating a competitive advantage for program graduates in the Saudi business environment and job market.


Striving to provide quality job opportunities for program graduates in the Abqaiq Governorate.


Continuous and ongoing development of the program in light of quality requirements and academic accreditation.


Learning Outcomes of the Program:

Understanding the fundamentals, principles, and theories of Human Resource Management.


Detailed comprehension of organizational structures, updating, and development in alignment with the goals and public policies of organizations.


Precise understanding of technical and administrative methods and procedures for recruitment and selection within organizations, basics of performance management, benefits, compensations, and employee motivation systems.


Acquiring high-performance professional skills in Human Resource Management within diverse organizational types.


Gaining a set of supportive skills for professional work including efficient and effective utilization of information technology, communication technology, computer knowledge, English language, professional terminologies, independence, critical logical thinking for problem-solving, initiative, creativity, leadership, teamwork ability, concise and flexible linguistic report writing, and effective oral and written communication.


Capability to apply and execute functions, tasks, and activities related to Human Resources within organizations.


Ability to analyze, design, describe jobs, and propose recruitment policies.


Capacity to develop workforce programs, devise Human Resource management strategies, organize and execute training programs for the development of human resources.


Ability to quantitatively and qualitatively analyze information, derive conclusions, present and report findings.


Proficiency in using Human Resource Information Systems and software efficiently.


Capability to evaluate Human Resource practices and job relations within organizations.


Capacity to prepare regular reports about employees and conduct workforce studies and research.


Language of Instruction and Program Certificate Title:


Language of instruction: Arabic


Program certificate title in Arabic: Diploma Degree from College of Community in Abqaiq, Major: Human Resource Management


Admission requirements

Admission to the College of Community in Abqaiq is open to all high school graduates based on the annual admission and registration conditions set by King Faisal University. 


The basic admission conditions are as follows:

Obtaining the General Secondary Education Certificate or its equivalent from inside or outside the Kingdom.

The applicant should not have graduated from high school or its equivalent for more than five years at the time of application.

The applicant should have good conduct.

The applicant must take the competency test administered by the National Center for Assessment and Measurement.

The applicant must meet any other conditions specified by the University Council, which will be announced at the time of application.

Specialization in insurance and risk management


The specialization in Insurance and Risk Management is designed around delivering specialized courses in insurance and risk as core subjects, supporting graduates in their professional field. Additionally, there are economic and financial-oriented courses provided as complementary elements. The goal of these supplementary courses is to form the student's cognitive vision in various economic and managerial domains, expected to be encountered within the field of insurance and risk management during their work.


The academic plan for the program spans two academic years, each year divided into two academic levels. Upon completing most of the theoretical courses, students proceed to undertake practical summer training.


The total number of credit hours for the program amounts to 75 approved hours.



Specialization in medical secretarial


The Medical Secretarial specialization program is built on providing specialized courses in the field of medical secretarial work. Additionally, there's a set of supportive courses aimed at developing various linguistic, administrative, financial, and statistical skills in the student.


The program extends over two years, divided into four academic terms, alongside a practical summer training.


The total number of credit hours for the program amounts to 68 approved hours.
