In reference to the circular of His Excellency the Dean of Admissions and Registration No. 8746, dated: 02/1444/1952 AH, and based on the direction of the university and the college to govern all its procedures and transactions and shift to working in an electronic and organized manner, and based on the mechanisms approved and notified to the college by the University Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs regarding excuses of absence, The College Vice Deanship for Academic Affairs has committed to not receiving paper excuses of absence at all, and not to accept the receipt of paper excuses by any of its employees in order to lift deprivation, absences, or final, midterm, or alternative tests, whether the recipient is the professor of the subject or someone else, and the beneficiary submits his excuses through the electronic portal designated for that purpose. Note that any excuses outside the electronic portal will not be considered, regardless of the justification, with the exception of a student who is absent before meeting the 25% absence rate and has a valid regular excuse, and his absence results in missing one of the evaluations in the course. He must go to the department head and provide him with an excuse to consider the missed re-evaluation. In coordination with the course professor.
We also benefit everyone by continuing to work on a mechanism for studying and accepting excuses submitted by students - via the electronic portal - which are as follows:
1 - Medical excuses not certified by the Ministry of Health platforms will not be considered.
2 - Excuses are studied for students whose absence rate exceeds 25% only, provided that the date of the excuse is in the period after the 25% mark, with the exception of the excuses mentioned below, as they are studied directly as soon as they are uploaded in the system.
Which :
. Excuses related to childbirth cases for female students, where the period of leave for the female student is (7) days starting from the date of delivery. If the medical reports prove that the female student needs a longer period, it will be uploaded in the system for study.
. Excuses related to marriage (where the duration of the leave is (3) days starting from the date of marriage)
. Excuses related to death for first-degree relatives, where the duration of the leave is (3) days from the date of death). Therefore, we hope that everyone will adopt what was stated and act accordingly, and the student will bear the consequences of not presenting his excuses accordingly
