Welcome to the website of the Deanship of E-Learning and Information Technology, through which we highlight the important role of the Deanship in the field of e-learning and teaching, in addition to controlling information technology and digital management at King Faisal University. The deanship has been keen to implement many quality standards and practices in teaching and learning, and this has been demonstrated in the management of e-learning programs that the deanship carries out to present them to learners.
Consequently, this contributed to the deanship receiving many international and local awards in the field of e-learning and continuing education. On the other hand, the accumulated experience of the deanship staff in the field of managing the information technology infrastructure system, including the development of applications and digital services, has led to strengthening the university’s leadership in digital transformation in the education and training sector at the level of government agencies, as well as representing the Kingdom in international and local competitions.
The Deanship of E-Learning and Information Technology is always working to improve methods of use and integration of systems, and to improve access to information to support the decision-making process in accordance with best practices and technical standards. In addition to supporting and empowering the university sectors to complete the journey towards developing the academic, research and administrative process, community partnership and achieving the university’s goals in digital transformation.
This extends to enabling the university to provide its services to the final beneficiary by providing technical capabilities, which include developing the institutional structure with its various components and enhancing and accelerating the use of digital transformation technologies in accordance with the goals and programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which will enhance capacity building and refine skills for future generations and enable them to Managing and controlling the educational process and measuring and evaluating the performance of learners and the educational system as a whole.
With the aim of producing high-quality educational content and materials, the deanship works in accordance with the institutional identity of the university as well as the objectives of the National Center for E-Learning and the Ministry of Education to review and develop e-learning and continuing education programs for all educational levels and in accordance with the needs of the labor market, using the latest global technologies in managing this system. Such as generative artificial intelligence, robotics systems, block chains, augmented reality systems, interactive holograms, and metaverse technologies.
