 About The Deanship

The Deanship of Library Affaires secures variable arrays of knowledge resources to all affiliated university personals, including students, faculty members, staff, and technicians …etc.
In addition, the library serves the local Community and participate in local, national, and international events, particularly book fairs and information technology exhibitions.
Throughout the years, the Central Library utilizes the "Library of Congress Classification Scheme" which classifies human knowledge into 21 divisions as follows:

The Deanship also provides search and retrieval services to all knowledge engines for all university personals throughout its electronic library.

Circulation Services :-

The deanship provides borrowing service to Faculty members, Students, Staff in addition to local community participating members according to the following guidelines.

Borrowing period could be renewed up to three consecutive periods unless other beneficiaries request the borrowed material.

- Audiovisual materials such as filmstrips, slides, compact disks, etc.

Internet services :

The KFU Central Library provides internet services for all users. However, priority is given to student and faculty members.


Reference Search Assistance:

The KFU Central Library offers expert guidance in all departments. It includes using catalogs, electronic resources, automated catalog, CD's databases, and online sources in addition to the use of references and library services inquiries.


 Interlibrary loan :

The KFU Central Library can borrow books and other materials that are not available in its collection from other cooperating libraries' collections. Current students, faculty member, and staff are eligible to this service free of charge.
