KFU Vice-Presidency establishment is dated back 1422H. For the expansion and development at the university, the higher administration of the university decided to establish an office to supervise the administrative and financial affairs to advance the administrative and financial business and push it forward to keep pace with the expansion that took place in the university
The ultimate objective of the Vice-Presidency for Studies, Development and Community Service is to provide ways for continuous development of the university employees, through activities and plans, including the training all university employees and improving their skills and performance, as well as introducing development mechanisms and initiatives, and work to provide the requirements for effective implementation
The Vice-Presidency for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research is one of the main tributaries of the administration, which is concerned with planning and following up on all activities of the university that relate to the postgraduate studies and scientific research to achieve the vision and mission of the university. Three groups of units are under the Vice-presidency structure: Deanships, Research Centers, and Supporting Units
The Vice-Presidency for Academic Affairs and its affiliates focus on the three main axes (student, faculty member, and academic programs). This body provides the necessary support to the student and prepares a professional environment for the faculty members to achieve the maximum benefit and the success of the educational process that will guarantee getting distinguished outputs. This Vice-Presidency is also keen on constantly reviewing study plans and academic programs, and developing administrative and academic performance
The Vice-Presidency for Female-Student Affairs seeks to achieve the vision and mission of the university through its approved roles that focus on studying visions and developing proposals for the educational and research affairs, developing community partnership, public services, media, public relations, security and safety, and developing the female skills and performance at the female section
The Innovation and Business Development Sector accelerate the future of King Faisal University through the establishment and maturation of its innovation and business development to achieve financial sustainability for the university, diversify sources of income, invest in knowledge, research, and technology, and maximize the value of its assets and capabilities
Throughout this department, King Faisal University promotes and develops effective and sustainable international channels of communication with the most prestigious international universities to provide opportunities for knowledge production in line with international standards. The department also seeks to encourage joint scientific research and mutual international visits for the faculty members and students and protects intellectual property rights for innovators and creators. It also supports and develops the academic chair programs at the university
Administration of Legal Affairs is linked to His Excellency the President of the University, and it is the body responsible for expressing opinion and advice to all the university’s departments and authorities regarding the implementation of laws, regulations, and instructions. It also reviews all contracts and agreements and organizes them in a legal form, studying violations committed by faculty members, staff, and students. This administration is the representative of the university in the issues that shall be submitted to the competent authorities such as the Administrative Court of the Board of Grievances, the Labor Office, the study of the minutes of the councils of colleges and deanships, the Scientific Council and the various committees of the university. It also prepares and reviews administrative decisions and other concerning work
The general objective of this department is to ensure the university’s needs of resources, equipment, devices, services, and construction works in the specified quantities and qualities on time and at the right price
The Department of Housing was established as an independent department to implement the necessary policy for housing university employees according to the rules and regulations specified by the university's higher administration and the Permanent Committee for Housing. The Department of Housing provides appropriate services in line with the aspirations and aspirations of the university and to meet the developments that occur on housing and the beneficiaries, given that university housing is one of the main factors affecting the lives of the beneficiaries
The administration of Planning and Budget is one of the important departments in the university. It concerns everything related to the planning process and its follow-up, the preparation of annual reports, the preparation of the university’s draft budget and the disbursement plan, and the implementation of financial commitments. It also carries out all the work assigned by the Higher Administration of the university
The Security Department is one of the most important departments in the university because of its roles played in maintaining the facilities, buildings, and properties of the university, as well as ensuring the safety of people inside the university, in addition to raising the level of discipline and ensuring the progress of the educational renaissance
It is the department concerned with implementing the university’s budget approved by the Council of Ministers following generally accepted accounting standards and rules and in light of the instructions issued by the Ministry of Finance. This administration also prepares lists, balances, and the final account of the university at the end of each financial year by presenting it within the kingdom’s budget
The University’s Scientific Council is the body that supervises the scientific affairs of the faculty members and the affairs of research, studies, and publication
Stores administration is an important department in any government facility in general and is a link in the administrative system in the university sectors in particular. The primary role of the store department is to preserve and manage the various items that the university purchases and keep items (whether they are fixed or consumable items). It supplies all sectors of the university with furniture, equipment, stationery, and office tools
King Faisal University seeks to invest in various sciences and technologies, especially those that lead to the products, which supports its institutional identity in the areas of food security and environmental sustainability. Industrial Relations and Technology Transfer Unit was created as a supportive investment source like other units
The focus of this administration is to increase the return of the investment for the resources and properties of the university to achieve the financial goals (diversification of income sources - achieving financial sustainability). The work in the department includes proposing plans to develop the university’s assets and properties, coordinating with the private sector to reach partnerships for promising investment projects, and implementing the university’s investment plans in all fields
This administration is one of the scientific, executive, service pillars at the university. It is affiliated with the vice-presidency of the university. It keeps pace with the new, professional, creative, and distinguished things in several areas such as the shift from manual work to technological using the latest innovations made by giant companies in the field of digital printing
This administration provides medical and treatment services to all university employees, including male and female students, employees, and faculty members through a medical and chronological program
This unit keeps the documents supporting the registration, and does all tasks related to the procedures and controlling the movement of the items in the cards
The Department of Strategic Planning and Institutional Identity was established with its current name after launching the institutional identity of the university, which is represented in food security and environmental sustainability
The General Administration of Projects, Operation, and Maintenance is one of the first departments that was established in the university. Its work is concerning the operation and maintenance of equipment, buildings, and facilities at the university. It has many responsibilities to continue working in an excellent operational condition to contribute directly to the convenience of the employees at the university, including students, faculty members students, and other staff
The international universities in general and our university in particular, have paid great attention to the issue of community partnership. King Faisal University was a pioneer in this field at the level of universities in the Kingdom. KFU has included the community partnership within its vision and strategic plan, believing in the importance of community partnership and the vital roles it plays
It is an executive administration that supervises the administrative and organizational activities of the University Council and the related facilities and support in light of the relevant regulations and instructions issued by the higher administration of the university
King Faisal University, in the direction of His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Ohali and His Excellency the Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Majid bin Adi Al-Shammari paid great attention to scholarships. On this basis, the Administration of Scholarships was established to take care of the affairs of scholarships and scholar students and serve the university scholars inside and outside the kingdom
College Applied - Abqaiq was established on 19/2/1431H., based on the decision of the Higher Education Council at its 62nd session. The study at the college began in the second semester of the academic year 1436/1435H
