Field Follow-up Unit

Objectives:

  • Protecting properties and resources for the safety of all users and minimizing risks.
  • Working on development and innovation to enhance the quality of services provided and empower expertise and capabilities.
  • Establishing stable operational conditions, thereby ensuring a conducive work environment and meeting safety standards at work sites.
  • Utilizing available resources, both human and material, to provide monitoring services and ensure operational continuity while fulfilling commitments.
  • Employing the results of field follow-up and evaluation for continuous improvement of work processes.

Tasks:

  1. Conducting field tours of the buildings and facilities within the university campus and external buildings affiliated with the university, monitoring any important observations, points of deficiency, negligence, or visual distortions related to maintenance, projects, cleanliness, or landscaping using the designated form. Then, submitting this form to the relevant administration for necessary action, guidance, direction, motivation, and constructive criticism to achieve the goals of the university agency.

  2. Conducting field tours in the public areas within the university campus and external buildings affiliated with the university to identify any points of deficiency related to visual distortions, important observations, and damages to sidewalks, asphalt roads, parking shade structures, electric gates for parking lots, traffic signals, agricultural basins, trees, green areas, or signage, among others.

  3. Conducting field tours and inspections of basic sensitive and important service facilities (water desalination stations, water treatment plants, pumping stations, central cooling plants, groundwater wells, electric generators, etc.) to monitor any observations and report them to the specialists for necessary action, reviewing the operational status of those vital systems, and following up on addressing observations and malfunctions.

  4. Conducting field tours and comprehensive assessments of buildings for any events to be held, in sufficient time prior to the event, and report to the relevant administrations to address any observations identified.

  5. Submitting maintenance requests for any malfunctions identified, whether in buildings or public areas, through the maintenance program (Maximo) and maintaining a continuous follow-up statement until the observation is resolved.

  6. Writing monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for the direct supervisor, detailing the reports sent to the administrations, their number, and their status (completed, not completed, in progress), indicating the performance percentage, and periodically raising reminders to address the observations.

  7. Receiving complaints related to visual distortions and any important observations through the administrative transaction system or phone reports, studying and verifying them, and doing the necessary procedures for resolution by preparing a follow-up report with the relevant administration until the observation is addressed.​
