Grievance unit:

In the light of the constant changing in all the university structures in general, and in the legal administration in particular, the need for the foundation of a grievance unit has emerged for following up the implementation of the regulations, rules and administrative resolutions and ensuring that they meet the legal procedures in order to preserve and maintain the rights of the university employees.

In the light of that, the resolution of the university rector N. 38/2337 dated to 22/4/1432 H was issued declaring the foundation of a grievance unit in the university, followed by the administrative resolution N. 38/2/86 dated to 21/2/ 1433 H for the foundation of the same unit and appointing a director and members for it. And since that date, the unit resumed its works and tasks entrusted to it. 

Vision:

Achieve greater guarantees to the university faculty members and the like, as well as students and employees that preserve their rights.

Message:

Achieve transparency, integrity, justice and fairness regarding all the decisions taken by the unit, and restitution of rights within the legal framework followed in the university.

Goal:

  • Checking and examinig the complaints and grievances submitted by the university employees regarding the administrative decisions taken against them.

  • Achieving equality and preserving rights in accordance with the legal system in the university.

  • Reducing the number of lawsuits brought before the judicial authorities against the university.

  • Achieving job-stability for the university employees.

  • Addressing deficiencies in administrative decisions that affected the issuance process of the decision under grievance.

  • Decide on the grievances applications submitted by the university employees and others from outside the university, as well as declaring rights in accordance with the followed regulations and rules.

 

Tasks and responsibilities:

The grievance unit shall take the responsibility to check and examine the grievances and complaints that are referred to it by the authorized body, as the followings:

  1. Grievance and complaints made by faculty members and the like regarding the disciplinary decisions brought against them by the displinary committe in the university, as it stipulated in clause (6) of the item (88) of the regulation that organize the affairs of the faculty members and the like in Saudi University.

  2. Grievances and complaints made by university students regarding the disciplinary decisions brought against them, as it stipulated in the disciplinary regulation for students at KFU, (including regular students – part time students - E- learning students– postgraduate students).

  3. Grievances and complaints made by the university staff, such as technicians and administrative employees, regarding the disciplinary decisions brought against them by the standing committee that examine the technical and administrative violations in the university.

  4. Any other cases referred to it by the university rector.
