The College of Medicine at King Faisal University hosted Saturday morning, 10 /4/1433 H (03/03/2012) its corresponding partner team from the College of Medicine at University of Groningen in Netherlands, who in charge of training and rehabilitation of our faculty members. This training course is one of the series of training courses that the Dutch College of Medicine embrace to implement their new curriculum of Problem-Based-Learning (PBL) over here at Al-Ahsa; basically based on the mutual agreement signed between the two universities for a period of six years. His honor, the Dean of College of Medicine Dr. Waleed AlbuAli began the opening ceremony session by thanking His Excellency the Vice President for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Bader Aljawhar who attended the opening, and given KFU's College of Medicine his adequate attention. He also, welcomed the guests, presented and summarized the College's activities since commencing the agreement with the University of the Netherlands till present. In addition to that, he issued the most prominent dilemmas that the College faced in the preparation for the implementation of the new platform in place; and, the most important issues that KFU's College of medicine hammers during the harmonization of the status quo. The gusts expressed their admiration to the College of Medicine (KFU) activities in alignment and quick application of the new curriculum; and, overcome the major obstacles to achieve the desired common goals. The team splits into two groups: the first group works over the faculty development committee; and, the other works on Blocks coordinators committee. . The visit will continue for seven consecutive days.
