The creation of the Center :
1. By virtue of decision no.216/11/17 dated 15/10/1427, a committee termed the Documents Permanent Committee was set up. This was made in the light of His Majesty Order no.7/372 dated 27/8/1417 Hijri indicating the approval of setting up the Documents Permanent Committee in the government agency.
2. The document center was set up as an independent body within the university upon the recommendation of the Documents Permanent Committee in the minutes of its second meeting held on 20/5/1428 Hijri by virtue of administrative decision no.1/240 dated 19/6/1418 Hijri. The organization of the center fell under the responsibility of the University Vice-President for Academic Affairs. The director of the university administrative communication center was assigned the responsibility of acting as the department director in addition to his work.
3.The university director decision no.18/1/1417 dated 15/1/1422 Hijri was issued stipulating that Dr.Hassan BinRafdan Hassan ElHaghug be assigned the responsibility of supervising the work of the university document center in addition to his work.
4. Mr.Ali Taher ElHajji was assigned the responsibility of acting as the director of the university document center by virtue of administrative decision no.598/8/d dated 7/4/1426 Hijri in addition to his work.
5. Administrative decision no.283/1/17/A dated 18/7/1433 Hijri was issued to re-form the Document Permanent Committee so that it will be headed by the University Vice-President for Academic Affairs.
6. By virtue of administrative decision no.350/1/17/A dated 24/7/1426, the Document Permanent Committee was re-established so that it would be headed by Dr.Saad Bin Mohammed AlHariqi, the University Director Consultant.
7. By virtue of administrative decision no.414/1/17/A dated 1/9/1436 Hijri, Dr.Fahad Bin Abdullah Ibrahim Al-Hizab was assigned the responsibility of supervising the university document center in addition to his work.
