PSYCHIATRY CURRICULUM
COURSE DURATION : 6 WEEKS CLINICAL CLERKSHIP
COURSE UNITS : 6 CREDIT HOURS
COURSE OBJECTIVES :
Through this clinical rotation and lectures, it is expected that students will
be competent to :
1.
Take independent psychiatric history in a formative manner
2.
To a sound knowledge of common psychiatric disorders, their etiology, prevention
and management
3.
Be able to understand the significance of interaction of physical, psychological
and social factors in the exacerbation and prevention of psychiatric disorders.
MODE OF TEACHING:
1.
Bedside
teaching ward rounds, lectures, tutorials, and clinical seminars
EVALUATION :
1. Continuous assessment 10%
2. Written exam 50%
3. Clinical exam 40%
