The decision of His Excellency the University President was issued by Resolution No. 38/2/461 dated 11/20/1440 AH, culminating in the decision of the University Council at its ninth session for the academic year 1439/1440 AH, held on Tuesday 9/16/1440 AH corresponding to 5/21/2019 AD, and approved by His Excellency the Minister of Education in accordance with a letter by His Excellency The Secretary-General of the Interim Committee acting in charge of the Higher Education Council No. 145940, dated 11/7/1440 AH, established the Self-Resources Unit to undertake financial supervision of self-resourced entities.

Developing concepts of cooperation between the university and the private sector so that the Self-Resources Unit assumes the responsibilities of supervising the revenues, expenses and self-financed programs that are financed from outside the appropriations allocated to the university from the state budget.
Financial supervision of independent resource entities, monitoring collection and disbursement procedures, and evaluating their performance by searching for the best practical and scientific ways in order to benefit from internal revenues, achieve the university’s goals, and implement its general plans.
Creating practical patterns to develop the university’s own resources, innovating new means of investing them, increasing the percentage of its participation in financing university projects, and coordinating this with the relevant authorities. Participating with the relevant authorities in organizing the financial expenditures for all self-financing programs in accordance with the university’s strategic plan to make the most of the self-revenue in the process.
