The College of Education organizes a social and entertaining event entitled (Education and Talent Winter)
Under the patronage and presence of His Excellency the President of King Faisal University, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Ohali, the College of Education organized a social and entertaining event entitled “Winter of Education and Giftedness” for employees of the College of Education and the National Center for Giftedness and Creativity Research, on Wednesday evening, 05/15/1445 AH corresponding to (11/29/2029 AD). In the Al-Ahsa Municipality Hall, in the presence of His Excellency the University Vice President, Dr. Mahdi bin Muhammad Al-Omari, and His Excellency the University Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Muhanna bin Abdullah Al-Dalami.
His Excellency the President of the University expressed his happiness with this social event and with this first family meeting for the Faculty of Education, which enhances the spirit of familiarity and unity among the employees of | His Excellency called for holding such a meeting every year. In turn, His Excellency the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Muhammad bin Saeed Al-Qahtani, welcomed the visit of His Excellency the President of the University, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Ohali, and their Excellencies, the university’s representatives, stressing that it comes within the framework of His Excellency’s keenness and unlimited support for all the college’s events and activities and following up on its future aspirations. His Excellency also welcomed the guests from the faculty members.
And current and retired administrators who had an influential impact on the college. His Excellency extended his thanks and gratitude to Al-Ahsa Municipality, headed by His Excellency the Secretary of Al-Ahsa Governorate, Engineer Issam bin Abdul Latif Al-Mulla, and His Excellency the General Supervisor of the Office of the Mayor of Al-Ahsa Governorate, Engineer Omar bin Hassan Al-Shadeed, for making Al-Ahsa Municipality Hall available for the college to hold its joyful ceremony. Then the ceremony began with the reciting of poetic poems loaded with meanings of creativity and strong patriotic feelings from the poet, doctoral student Mishal Al-Sulaimi, and the poet, Dr. Khaled Al-Balah.
The event included a number of sporting, cultural, and artistic activities, accompanied by various competitions. Valuable gifts were distributed to the winners. The ceremony also included the popular Saudi “Ardha” folklore, where His Excellency the Dean of the College of Education participated in performing the Saudi Ardha, and a number of faculty members and administrators chanted patriotic songs and chants during it. Participation of the College of Education in the Second International Conference on Food Security and Environmental Sustainability, organized by King Faisal University
The College of Education participated in the exhibition of the Second International Conference on Food Security and Environmental Sustainability, which was held under the generous patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province, and in the honor of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, Governor of Al-Ahsa.
King Faisal University organized the Second International Conference on Food Security and Environmental Sustainability during the period from 5 to 7 November 2023 AD at the university’s headquarters. In confirmation of what His Excellency the President of the University, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Ohali, stated at the conference, the confirmation of His Excellency the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Qahtani, came that this conference, in its second edition, comes in support of the Green Saudi Initiative and the Green Middle East Initiative, which were launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the faithful Crown Prince - may God protect him - to build future strategies and policies that contribute to the development and achievement of environmental sustainability, and the protection of natural resources and biodiversity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to achieve a more sustainable future.
The College of Education participated by activating the interactive platform at the exhibition for the first time to serve food security and environmental sustainability, during the period from 20-23 Rabi’ al-Akhir 1445 AH, corresponding to 5-7 November 2023 AD, starting from 9 am to 5 pm, where the College of Education participated in the organizing committee. The exhibition accompanying the conference is represented by the participation of Her Excellency Dr. Hamda Ayed Al-Ruwaili, as a member of the conference exhibition organizing committee and as a speaker in the interactive platform on sustainable, environmentally friendly arts.
In addition to the college’s participation in activating the interactive platform through the contributions of participants from the Art Education Department, Her Excellency Dr. Hamda Al-Ruwaili, Her Excellency Lecturer Laila Buhamel, Her Excellency Lecturer Manal Al-Qumani, and Her Excellency Teaching Assistant Fatima Bou Aisha. And from the kindergarten department: His Excellency Lecturer Kholoud Al-Dhafar in highlighting the importance of recycling and achieving environmental sustainability by exploiting environmental waste in general and palm trees in particular in an artistic and creative way to protect the environment and promote the concept of environmental sustainability, which starts from the home and then spreads to all individuals and segments of Saudi society. Managing environmental waste The focus is on the concept of converting palm waste from waste to sustainability by transforming it into added value to beautify and decorate the home by producing works of art that can be used as home decor with an artistic and aesthetic vision.
From the Department of Physical Education, His Excellency Lecturer Noura Al-Mudaris and His Excellency Lecturer Narjis Al-Amer also participated in the interactive platform by consolidating the concept of food security for children, enhancing the role of the family in maintaining the child’s nutritional and physical health, and encouraging children to eat proper healthy food and an integrated school meal using some integrated school games using... His Excellency the Head of the Art Education Department, His Excellency Dr. Anwar bin Abdulaziz Al-Naim, and a group of faculty members, employees and students of King Faisal University, and a number of students and a number of faculty members in Saudi universities, such as Princess Noura bint Abdul Rahman University, King Saud University, Hafr Al-Batin University, Al-Kharj University and from various parts of the world. Under the patronage of His Excellency the Dean of the College of Education, His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al-Qahtani, His Excellency the Chairman of the Development and Quality Assurance Committee at the College of Education, His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Shaab Al-Brahim, quality and academic accreditation workshops for the university academic year 1445 AH, on Monday, 11/6/2023, in the Graduate Studies Hall, where the first session was moderated by Her Excellency Dr. Enas Al-Rifi, in which she presented the first workshop.
Titled (self-study and the method of writing it), which was presented by His Excellency Dr. Sobhi Atta, His Excellency Dr. Atef Al-Bahrawi, and His Excellency Dr. Noura Al-Mulhim, highlighting the importance of preparing self-study and its role as an essential step in achieving accreditation as it reflects the reality of the college’s current programs and what it aims to achieve in the future.
His Excellency Dr. Sobhi Atta described the procedural steps for preparing the self-study in detail, and His Excellency Dr. Atef Al-Bahrawi analyzed the requirements for writing the report, and His Excellency Dr. Noura Al-Mulhim: The connection between self-study and choosing a program for an approved reference that can be used to compare and measure program activities.
The meeting was attended by a group of faculty leaders and members who praised this type of meeting in support of their academic journey towards program accreditation.
Report (2) Second Session Day One: Workshop on analyzing performance indicators and writing the report
The report was prepared by Dr. Reham Mustafa, under the patronage of His Excellency the Dean of the College of Education, His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al-Qahtani, His Excellency the Chairman of the Development and Quality Assurance Committee at the College of Education, His Excellency Dr. Muhammad bin Shaab Al-Brahim, opened the second session of the quality and program accreditation workshops on Monday, 11/6/2023 AD, in the Graduate Studies Hall, which was attended by a group of Leaders, members, and female faculty members. The session was moderated by Her Excellency Dr. Enas Al-Rifi, and she welcomed Her Excellency Dr. Reham Mustafa Muhammad, the lecturer in the second workshop, which was
Under the title (Self-study... analyzing performance indicators and writing the report). The workshop dealt with the performance indicators for the six standards of the Education and Training Evaluation Commission for the university academic year 1445 AH, which number 13 indicators and were discussed in detail with a full explanation of the method of measuring and analyzing the indicator based on reference comparisons.
Her Excellency Dr. Reham Mustafa recommended that all programs prepare organized and up-to-date evidence and evidence for the year of applying for accreditation and the previous two years in order to be able to complete the performance indicator tables by comparing the actual performance (within the program with the targeted performance (from the benchmarking)) with the new target, which is suggested based on the results of comparing the current performance with the target, which is confirmed. The necessity of measuring performance within programs with a SWOT analysis system to measure internal factors and external influences to determine reality, its problems, the future, and its requirements in an effort to accurately and realistically measure and draw improvement plans with a revealing vision of reality and the future.
Report (3) on the third session, the first standard workshop in program accreditation...program management and ensuring its quality. The report was prepared by Dr. Reham Mustafa as a continuation of the series of workshops of the Development and Quality Assurance Committee at the College of Education. Report (4), Fourth Session, Second Day, Workshop on the Second Standard in Program Accreditation... Teaching and Learning
The report was prepared by Dr. Reham Mustafa under the auspices of His Excellency the Dean of the College of Education, His Excellency Dr. Muhammad bin Saeed Al-Qahtani. His Excellency the Chairman of the Development and Quality Assurance Committee at the College of Education, His Excellency Dr. Muhammad bin Shaab Al-Brahim, completed the reception of male and female trainees from male and female faculty members at the College of Education as part of a series of dialogue sessions to develop quality and academic accreditation. For the year 1445 AH, on Tuesday, 11/7/2023 AD, in the Graduate Studies Hall, where the fourth session was moderated by His Excellency Lecturer Manal Al-Qumani, and the dialogue session was presented by His Excellency Professor Dr. Muhammad Dahi and His Excellency Dr. Reham Mustafa. Where His Excellency Professor Dr. Muhammad Dhahi addressed the standard of teaching and learning. It provides detailed examples of how to form a teaching and learning standard team

He collected all kinds of evidence, and His Excellency discussed how to write and evaluate the basic standards and criteria through self-study of this standard, how to achieve its performance indicators, analyze its data, and complete its evidence in the correct manner. The dialogue session concluded with a practical application for the attendees on how to write the basic criteria.
Then, Her Excellency Dr. Reham Mustafa continued a lecture on measuring learning outcomes, the performance measurement map, how to choose measurement courses, and the measurement methodology, starting with measuring the relative weight of the educational output and distributing it among the subjects, then determining the measurement methods and applying them to come up with a fair mechanism.
A comprehensive, neutral measurement system that can be converted into an easy-to-implement electronic mechanism.

The workshop was presented by His Excellency Dr. Sobhi Atta, who addressed aspects of the student standard and all its related criteria within a self-study report to train male and female faculty members to meet the standard at the best level and the associated support mechanisms for students.
The session concluded with a number of questions that were answered

The activities of the third day of the series of workshops of the Quality and Academic Accreditation Committee for the academic year 1445 AH were completed on Wednesday, 11/18/2023 AD, in the Graduate Studies Hall. The sixth session was moderated by His Excellency Lecturer Narjis Al-Amer, and the workshop was presented by His Excellency Dr. Mustafa Amira, who discussed the faculty member standard in explanation and detail, and emphasized that the representation of each member and his role in academic performance within the requirements of the standard in a documented manner is one of the reasons for the high evaluation of the standard criteria.
