An Overview about the College

The college of Medicine was established under the guidance Al Ahsa  Royal Decree No. (7 / b / 15 252) on 18/11/1421 AH, the College received the first group of students their number reached 61 students in 1428 – 2007

Objectives

1.To prepare and train human doctors who are equipped with knowledge, skills and necessary  behaviors to become competent members of the health team who are able to keep up with everything new and fashionable in medical science.

2. To Expand the scope of health education in the Eastern Province and to provide excellent services to the local community in the area of health care and health education and disease prevention.

3. To conduct health research and development.

4. To organize and deliver of continuous medical education programs to update information and skills of health workers and raise their competencies             

5. To offer graduate programs in clinical specialties and basic medical sciences for the preparation of specialists to meet the needs of the Kingdom of the staff.

- 6.That this institution is a center of reference in scientific education for health workers in this area and for community and  organizations that are related to health care.

2 . To develop efficient human health workforce in order to access the health system depends on the overall quality and an outstanding performance within the overall framework for education and medical training.
