An overview about College of Education

The study began in the College of Education in the first semester  in 1401 / 1402, The primary objective of establishing the college is to cover the needs of the eastern region of tutors and educators to achieve the comprehensive educational development  in the Kingdom.

Objectives

1. To  prepare national competencies educationally and academically within the framework of the tolerant Islamic faith to carry out teaching  duties in various stages of public education in the Kingdom.

2. to  Prepare national capacities and to qualify them for work in areas such as educational administration educational planning and social services, psychological and other.

3.To  Conduct  educational and theoretical  research, including  applied for the advancement of the educational process.

4.To raise the professional l and cultural level  of workers in education field and education in general and unqualified teachers  to  qualify them in  particular.

                                                                                                   
5. To contribute in  society service  in the various areas of education through college departments and centers and multiple programs which are offered by the college.

6. To  Follow-up scientific and technical developments in knowledge fields and support them  in the education curricula as well as the specific objectives for each department  which are  integrated with the general l objectives of the College.

Graduate Programs

The college offers a master's degree in the following specialties : Counseling and psychological guidance , Applied Linguistics, Arabic language, educational administration.

Diploma of Guidance and Counseling Students

College decided to implement this program as of the academic year 1421/1422 AH, and it will be supervised  by the department of Education and Social Studies. The requirement for  the acceptance  to the diploma that the applicant must have a university degree majoring in Psychology - Sociology - a social service with "good"  grade  at least  and passing  a personal interview. And the duration of the study is a full academic year that is  divided into two semesters: the first semester is  13 hours spread over 6 courses , and the second semester  of 14 hours spread over 6 courses in addition to practical training  course  that is practiced in Al-Ahsa region schools.
