Overview of the Unit:
The Translation, Authorship, and Publishing Unit is a specialized academic and technical entity that oversees and monitors the production of authored and translated scholarly works. Its core responsibilities include collecting these works and referring them to the competent authorities (the Scientific Council) for approval and peer review. Subsequently, the Unit undertakes linguistic review, academic editing and correction, typesetting and layout, and finally printing, publishing, and marketing.
The Unit also organizes and participates in scientific conferences and seminars related to translation, Arabization, and academic publishing at both local and international levels.
The Unit focuses on authoring, translating, and publishing textbooks to serve students across various university levels, in addition to encouraging researchers and supporting the publication of their works at the University’s expense. This is achieved through concluding agreements and contracts in accordance with the Unified Scientific Publishing Regulations approved by Saudi universities.
The Unit also seeks to keep pace with the latest developments in the fields of translation, authorship, and publishing at the regional and global levels by strengthening cooperation with counterpart translation centers. These efforts are supported by continuous moral and financial backing from His Excellency the University President and His Excellency the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, in pursuit of fulfilling the University’s academic, educational, and societal mission.
