Department of Agricultural Systems Engineering
About the department
The Department of Agricultural Systems Engineering specializes in theoretical and applied studies related to utilizing engineering science and technology to develop and operate technical systems that help solve agricultural problems and agricultural industrialization, and raise the level of production in quantity and quality with the least possible effort and cost.
The new study plan in this specialization has been prepared in a way that gives it important advantages, as the basic courses were chosen to provide horizontal coverage of the basics of agricultural systems engineering to the extent and depth necessary to give the student a high academic base in engineering principles and their applications in all fields and programs of agricultural systems engineering. As for the applied courses, they were chosen to give a solid foundation in this specialization, as the focus was on areas closely related to agricultural and food development in the Kingdom, such as integrated agricultural mechanization, agricultural and food manufacturing, agricultural facilities, environmental control, engineering bioinformation systems, new energy sources in agricultural systems, and processing and engineering engineering. Waste recycling.
Care was taken to provide a sufficient level of necessary information that would enable the student to have a good understanding of the basic fields of the agricultural systems engineering specialization. Sufficient diversity and flexibility were provided for the graduate to successfully perform any future task, as scientific materials in management, research methods, and scientific materials from other specializations in the college were added to strengthen his knowledge and It fully supports his specialization in the field of agricultural systems engineering.

*Vision
The department aspires to provide a professional educational system that combines the cognitive side with the practical side in preparing future engineers in agricultural systems engineering. The department also aspires to graduate a generation of engineers who are able to assume responsibilities skillfully and contribute to solving professional problems through creative thinking, teamwork, and self-development, and linking Learn in their academic program the actual requirements of the work environment.
*the message
The department will prepare professional cadres in agricultural biosystems engineering with the aim of enhancing the development process in the Kingdom based on the latest emerging technologies in this field.
*Objectives
Teaching students basic knowledge in the sciences of agricultural and engineering systems, leading to advanced knowledge in the application of engineering sciences in the fields of agricultural and biological systems, in order to provide the community with qualified national cadres who hold bachelor’s and postgraduate studies, which constitute the scientific basis on which comprehensive agricultural development plans are based.
Conducting applied and theoretical scientific research in biological engineering disciplines that contribute to finding solutions and developing the fields of agricultural systems engineering.
Adapting applied research to serve farmers and food producers, and then simplifying and communicating its results in the form of bulletins, designs, training courses, and scientific and technical consultations, in order to strengthen a strong and complementary relationship between the department and the community.
